Peer Reviewed Biased story

Bias notes on IPHONE is way much better than Sumsung.

I wrote a story about how brilliant Iphone is and why it is the best smart phone that Sumsung can not be any close to.

My friends told me that there are a lot of Bias by Labeling appeared in my article.  I used many adjective to describe how cool Iphone is and try to make people willing to buy it like : obviously, no doubt , ton of reasons , proved , brilliant , real , Highclass, high quality , smart designs good functionary and right choice. More than that, i also describe Sumsung in a very bad way by using all the negative adjective such as copy-cat, brainless (company), laggy , complicated and useless.

More over they said that they can see Bias by spin in my article which is that I mentioned about Sumsung situation, because they knew that they cannot reach Iphone quality so they try to lower their price so that people will be able to buy their (copy)smart phone. I wrote this so this can makes know people that Iphone must really have a higher quality because its expensive and obviously something is cheaper is not as good as expensive because it is "cheap".

I also add some multiple biases in my story which I connected  bias by selection source with bias by spin. I chose the quote from Steave Job(he used to be the CEO of Apple and he is the one who presented the idea of Iphone), I picked up some of his sentence from his very first presentation  that" iphone is easily to use and the other phone is too complicated but right here i spun it by saying how bad Sumsung is and add the above phase from Steave Job that it is too complicated making like Sumsung is the phone that Steave Job said its complicated.

Futhermore, there are some phrase that that can be both bias by labeling or bias by spin  which I said "that apple published Iphone first in 2007 and Sumsung published Galaxy in 2009 due to my bias the one that published first its automatically better  and so  I try to make people think that Sumsung copied the idea just because Iphone published first.

The Implicit Association Test combine with The political compass test make me know more about myself!!

The Implicit Association Test (IAT) was created to help people to figure out what kind of biases do they have while the Political Compass Test help people to identify themselves in the political ideology system or what kind of perspective do they have or how do they value things in this world.

The implicit-association test (IAT) is a measure within social psychology designed to detect the strength of a person's automatic association between mental representations of objects (concepts) in memory. Means that the faster people respond to each pair of the categories in each situation the more they are involve into. For instance, my result is described as a ‘automatic preference for light skin’ because I responded faster when Light skin faces and Good words were classified with the same key than when Dark skin faces and Good words were classified with the same key. Depending on the magnitude result, each people automatic preference can be described as ‘slight’ ,moderate, strong or little to no preference.
Here is the link to take the test --->  https://implicit.harvard.edu/implicit/selectatest.html

The political compass test shows whether our essential point is Left and Right and whether we are Authoritarian or Libertarian by asking several question about our perspective on the statement that have been issue , they asked us to state our opinion from strongly agree to strongly disagree and give us the result in the end.
Here is the link to take the test ---> http://www.politicalcompass.org/test

Before I take the test I am a bit sure that the result would be that I have a bias for light skin people, actually I am not that against dark people and I am pretty sure that I didn’t hangout with people base on their skin color because I believe what is important is what inside them not their skin color. However what makes me thought that I would have this kind of bias because that I am from the area that the majority of people are light skin people so when I took the test I had respond faster with the light skin people rather than the dark skin people. But for my second test, I never thought I would have a bias for Young people toward old people. Because i dont think that age how old people are would be a big problem but many because young people have more ability to work on things so thats why my bias for young people slightly outweigh bias for old people.

For my political compass test, I bet that I am at the Authoritarian left because of my social believe and our government system force people to be. They make us believe and follow all the idea of our political ideology which is more left wing that we aim to make equality society.

If I take an ideological perspective on my implicit bias, then I would believe that my political compass test is quite right because I believe that something we need government to manage for us and people should have equality.

1st News Article Discussion Task

Hey guys! Now is the time for the first News Discussion!!
I have chose one article from the Guardian's site , if you want to have a look here is the source :  http://www.theguardian.com/world/2015/jun/04/south-korea-shuts-700-schools-in-respiratory-syndrome-virus-panic

This article is about the fast spread out of the Mers(Middle East respiratory syndrome virus) in Korea , Mers is caused by a new type of coronavirus, a type of virus which includes the common cold and Sars (severe acute respiratory syndrome) that have killed 2 people and 35 had already been infected and they believe that the number of people who will be infect are still increasing because  there is no vaccine or specific treatment and of course more people will died.  Due to the speed of the spreadout of the virus , lead to  more than 700 school from kindergartens to colleges are shutting down because they all afraid of the virus. Moreover, the number of people wearing face masks on public transport and in crowded places has increased.

Bias is not always a bad thing !

Hey guys,  I have a really great information to share!
Last few weeks, I have a chance to read and
studied a great article about cognitive biases which contain 12 different kind of biases
and some of them are quite complicated if you want to learn and know about them,
 here is the link
👉http://io9.com/5974468/the-most-common-cognitive-biases-that-prevent-you-from-being-ration
al👈
Enjoy! I'm sure you will be more clear
 about biases in human.

I have chance to read and discuss mainly about the
Post-Purchase Rationalization, Neglecting,probability

and Observational Selection Bias.
From what I have read I found out that
I have high interested in
Post-Purchase Rationalization than the others.
I am eager to describe about Post-Purchase Rationalization because
I believe that most people have experience this kind of bias but do they really know that it is a bias and why do we need to have it.

The article mention that Post-Purchase Rationalization will be appear
after people have made some decision that they thought they would be happy if they have it but soon after that they realise that it is a bad idea but they still come up with reason for making those stupid choice to make themselves feel better

Like I have mention earlier this kind of bias had happened to everyone everywhere including myself. My own experience in this kind of situation is that i once spent my pocket money(that I have save almost one year) on a toy called Furby, It is an electronic robotic with cute design (attractive to buyT.T) which i believe that Furby is one of the most expensive toy ever. At that time I bought because I saw everyone have it and it is so cute I cant wait to have one on my own. But soon after i have it then I realise that its just a toy and not worth to my saving money i should not have buy it.

But then I have these kind of feeling that it may not be that bad , and then I finally came up with so many reasons why  having Furby is great, yeaa its expensive but its like my friend who I can talk with when I'm alone or I can play it when I'm bored or I can even teach it English(made me feel so smart being a teacher lol).

In short, people dont usually know that all the reason that they have come up  with after making a crappy decision is because of bias and if they know, they will try to ignore it because most people believe that bias is a bad thing even it actually not. Yes Bias do have some disadvantage facts but doesnt mean it doesnt has any advantage facts . It depends mainly on the situation and how we manage it just like the optimism bias.  For instance,  The Post-Purchase Rationalization without this kind of bias people can  be over-thinking and feel bad about what they have done so long, which is not good because people can become stressful and ofcourse its bad for their health.

In conclude, there are so so many different kind of bias in people mind , as we know cognitive biases is so complicated and not so many people know about this, they dont even know that some of there action or feeling that have been processed by their mind is a bias. People should know about the real facts of biases so that they could be aware of it and wont be affected much from it.
